— Service Area —

What areas does Richard Casolari serve?

The practice is based at 12416 S. Harlem Avenue in Palos Heights, Illinois, and most clients live within about a 40-minute drive, across Chicago's south and southwest suburbs. After roughly fifty years in the same area, Richard knows these communities and the people retiring in them well.

Where you live is not a barrier. Meetings happen in person at the Palos Heights office, by phone, or by secure video, and documents are shared through the AdviceWorks client portal. Richard is licensed in 24 states, so clients who relocate in retirement or are referred by family elsewhere can work with the practice the same way, in states where he is properly registered. For the work itself, see the services overview or the retirement income planning approach that anchors most relationships.

— Communities —

The communities we serve

A look at the suburbs and neighborhoods around Palos Heights where Richard's clients live, and what planning tends to look like in each.

Southwest suburbs

The communities closest to the office, where most in-person meetings happen.

Palos Heights

Home to the practice. The office sits on S. Harlem Avenue, a few minutes from Lake Katherine Nature Center and Trinity Christian College, so Palos Heights clients meet with Richard in person on short notice, as many have for decades. Retirement income planning and coordinated investment, tax, and insurance reviews all run from here.

Palos Park

Wrapped by the Palos preserves, the largest block of Cook County forest preserve land, Palos Park draws households who stayed put and built equity over decades. That usually makes the planning question a distribution question: how to turn long-held savings into a retirement paycheck.

Palos Hills

Home to Moraine Valley Community College and minutes from the office. Palos Hills pre-retirees work with Richard on Social Security timing, 401(k) rollover decisions, and a written income plan, with in-person meetings a short drive away.

Orland Park

The largest of the southwest suburbs and the retail center of the area around Orland Square. Many Orland Park clients come to Richard mid-career and stay through the transition into retirement, reviewing income, allocation, and tax-aware withdrawals in person or by video.

Oak Lawn

Anchored by Advocate Christ Medical Center, one of the area's largest employers, Oak Lawn brings Richard a steady stream of health-system and municipal retirees weighing pensions, retiree health coverage, and rollover decisions inside one coordinated plan alongside investment management.

Tinley Park

Two Metra stations on the Rock Island line make Tinley Park a long-standing commuter town, and many clients arrive with a full career at one employer behind them. Pension and rollover decisions are often the starting point, and a full retirement income plan follows.

Oak Forest

Bordered by the Oak Forest Heritage Preserve and the Cal-Sag Trail, Oak Forest is a stay-put community where Richard works with pre-retirees on the sequence of retirement: when to claim Social Security, how to draw from accounts, and how to help manage taxes year to year.

Hickory Hills

Built on the rolling ground that gave the city its name and home to Hickory Hills Country Club since 1917. Clients here tend to value direct access to Richard himself, not a rotating team, for both planning and ongoing reviews.

Worth

Sitting on the Cal-Sag Channel just north of the office, Worth is a compact village of long-tenured households. Richard is often brought in to consolidate accounts scattered across a career before building the income plan around them.

Chicago Ridge

Built around the Chicago Ridge Mall corridor on Ridgeland Avenue, and close enough that in-person reviews are easy. Planning here reads investments, income, and insurance together rather than one policy at a time.

Bridgeview

Bridgeview sits on the same Harlem Avenue as the office, a few miles north, near SeatGeek Stadium. Pre-retirees and retirees here work with Richard on a written plan that turns savings into income they can draw on through retirement.

Evergreen Park

Home to Little Company of Mary Hospital and one of the older established suburbs on the 95th Street corridor. Many Evergreen Park clients are planning their first years of retirement and come to Richard for tax-aware withdrawal strategies inside a single coordinated plan.

West and DuPage County

Western communities a short drive from Palos Heights, served in person or by video.

Burr Ridge

Straddling the Cook and DuPage county line near the Village Center, Burr Ridge tends to bring Richard executives and business owners with concentrated stock, deferred compensation, or a business sale in the picture, planned alongside investment management.

Hinsdale

A DuPage County village on the BNSF Metra line with a long-settled historic district. Hinsdale households planning retirement use Richard's coordinated approach to align investment management, tax planning, and income in one plan.

Lemont

Perched on the bluff above the Illinois and Michigan Canal, Lemont keeps a distinct small-town center within easy reach of the office. Clients here work with Richard on the move from accumulation to income, coordinating every account and policy.

Homer Glen

One of the newer Will County villages, incorporated in 2001, with large lots and households who moved out from the closer-in suburbs. Homer Glen pre-retirees come to Richard for a clear, written retirement income plan and reviews on a regular schedule.

South suburbs and Will County

Communities to the south and southwest where retirees plan their next chapter.

Mokena

A Will County village on the Rock Island line that grew quickly through the 1990s and 2000s, so many households are now reaching retirement together. Richard works with Mokena clients on timing, rollover decisions, and a coordinated plan, in person or by video.

Frankfort

Frankfort's preserved historic downtown and the Old Plank Road Trail run through the middle of the village. Households planning retirement here rely on Richard for income planning that brings investments, taxes, and insurance under one plan.

New Lenox

Strung along the Old Plank Road Trail in the Lincoln-Way school district, New Lenox drew families who are now pre-retirees. Richard's process turns savings into retirement income and keeps the plan current as life changes.

Blue Island

One of the oldest settlements in the area, with a Western Avenue historic district and a Rock Island Metra stop. Blue Island clients work with Richard on consolidating accounts and building a written income plan as retirement approaches.

Chicago neighborhoods

On the city's far southwest side, served much like the neighboring suburbs.

Beverly

Built along the Blue Island ridge in one of Chicago's largest landmark districts, Beverly is a neighborhood people move into and stay in. Richard works with residents on retirement income and coordinated planning, by phone, video, or at the nearby Palos Heights office.

Mount Greenwood

Home to a high concentration of Chicago police, fire, and other city employees, which makes pension elections, deferred compensation, and retiree health coverage the recurring planning questions Richard is asked here.

Morgan Park

Sharing the ridge and the landmark district with Beverly, and home to Morgan Park Academy. Households planning retirement here rely on Richard for a written income plan and regular reviews, with the office a short drive southwest.
